What’s New?
New – Kitchen Printing
Print orders from the front point of sale terminal to a remote printer in the kitchen
Use the new options in Point of Sale Administrators product list to mark which items are to be sent to the kitchen.
Select from over 50 supported kitchen printers, or for long distances from the terminal, setup our Ethernet supported printer, an Epson TMU-220
Record a table number with your transaction and only the items required from the kitchen will be sent to the kitchen printer
Record memos for special requests or requirements, for example how they would like their steak cooked
Reprint kitchen receipts when required
Switch to your local receipt printer if the kitchen printer goes down
Prints simplified information for busy chef’s on the run
New – Table Number Tracking
Track your orders by Table Number and Order Number
Open a table by selecting the number from a set of preset keys or buttons
Each time you send an order an Order Number can also be tracked on the receipt
Recall a table order from any terminal, change the table number at any time
Point of Sale Terminal will warn you if you try to send an order for a table already sent
If something is cancelled on a customers order a new key can be created using the Refund function that records what was cancelled, which will be recorded as a Binned item.
Binned items are reported at the end of the day on the Product Sales report. If the item had already been cooked then you can make the appropriate adjustments in QuickBooks.
New – Layered Touch Screen
Create as many touch screen layers and touch buttons as you need
Add unlimited layers of touch screens
Copy format of an existing layout from one screen to another
Choose your own colour scheme, size and even add pictures to your buttons
Point of Sale Terminal automatically creates a button that will switch the operator back to the main screen
Perfect for the retailer that cannot scan all stock, for example bars or bakeries.
With one touch a sales amount is sent to your EFTPOS terminal. The customer then follows the prompts to swipe their card and when approved, the sale is finalised in point of sale.
With the majority of transactions being paid for ‘on the card’ these days, integrated EFTPOS makes tallying up at the end of the day a breeze.
Transfer & Post
The transfer and post functions are now three times faster than previous versions,
making sure you get home for dinner sooner.
Item Prompt
A new custom field has been added to items, called Item Prompt. This field
will allow you to enter a message that will pop up on your Point of Sale
Terminal when the item is sold, prompting the operator to as a question e.g. “Would
you like fries with that?”
Class Tracking
You will now be able to allocate a Class to all of your transactions going
back to QuickBooks. This will give you the ability to classify your sales
within QuickBooks and refine your reporting capabilities.
Price Changes
An enhancement has been made to price changes where by once prices have been
changed in the Products, price function. Point of Sale Administrator will
now ask you if you wish to print labels. This will remind the operator to
print new shelf labels or barcodes before clearing your already marked items
in the product list.
Price Check
A new POS function has been created allowing you to do a quick price check
on an item without having to begin a receipt and then cancel the transaction.
All you need to do is press the Price Check key and scan the item; if the
customer is happy with the price you can simply scan the item once more to
begin the transaction. Alternatively if they do not have a barcode to scan,
you can type the barcode number and press the Barcode Number function key
or enter a product code.
Sales Person
For extra security, when a sales persons ID is entered Point of Sale Terminal
will now only display crosses on the user display
Tender EFT
A new option has been added to the function Tender EFT giving you the ability
to choose whether or not you require the cash drawer to open if cash out
is not part of the Tender EFT transaction
Customer Sub-Accounts/Jobs
Point of Sale Terminal will now display all customer accounts including linked
customer jobs from QuickBooks. In the customer account list within Administrator
and Terminal the sub accounts will be displayed indented to the major account
and highlighted with a grey line. Transactions to these accounts will be
performed as usual and the major accounts balance will be updated to reflect
any sales.
New Hardware
New hardware has been added to the list of supported peripherals, including
USB connected hardware.
Custom Receipt Printers
A new option is now available allowing yourself or a supplier to set up a new
printer that is not on the list of supported printers. Settings from an existing
printer can be selected and then modified to suit the printer being set up.

How does QuickPOS compare to other point of sale applications?

You can train your staff to sell in less than 5 minutes.
